How to VBAC Parent Course: Unfiltered Customer Reviews

Published on: April 15, 2024

As many of you know, we offer a How to VBAC/HBAC: The Ultimate Prep Course for Parents. Our course is self-paced, can be taken from anywhere and will leave you feeling more confident, empowered and prepared to VBAC. Many times we see questions like these pop-up in our community. We’re VBAC mamas ourselves and understand that every dollar counts during this vulnerable and expansive season of our lives.

A few years back we were in your shoes, asking ourselves if we could really VBAC, whether it’s safe and how to do it. It’s easy to feel like we need to figure it all out on our own. That’s what we used to do, and it was the loneliest, most challenging experience ever!

We are handing over the exact education and tools we used to inform ourselves as moms preparing for VBAC and as doulas to support VBAC parents.

Here is what real mamas who took our course are saying:

This class is an incredible resource!! My husband and I are really enjoying it. He has been 100% VBAC supportive from the beginning, but I know that going through it together is setting us up to be even more on the same page for our second daughter’s birth in a few weeks. It’s so great to be able to pause a video right in the moment and discuss a topic, make notes, do an exercise/worksheet, etc. Having Matt prepared and in-the-know will be even more key right now as with Covid, the hospital may not allow our doula to be physically in the delivery room. – Mandy W.

Even though I’ve read a lot on VBAC and listened to almost every episode of The VBAC Link Podcast, I’ve learned new things too – – and we are only part way into the course! It is incredibly informative, well laid out, and easy to understand while still having a healthy amount of hard data/facts. I would highly recommend this to any birthing parent preparing to VBAC no matter if they are 6 weeks along or (like me) almost 36 weeks along!! – Mary W.

During the pregnancy with my first child, for variety of reasons, I didn’t take any birth education classes. My first birth ended up in a c section. I was determined to change variety of things this time – including educating myself and my partner. We took several birth education classes, including this one and a VBAC class at our hospital. I was very glad I took this VBAC class first because it allowed me to spot mis information even at our hospital class and educate for myself. Printed materials are helpful as you can take notes and reference back to the materials later. I recommend taking this class as early as possible in your pregnancy so 1) you have enough time to go through it (it’s self paced so we broke it down into a few weekends so it’s not overwhelming); 2) you can implement the things they recommend (like educating yourself on whether you have the right provider; I did end up switching). I haven’t had my VBAC yet, but I feel informed to go through the process and no matter what the outcome of this birth will be – I know it will be my empowered choice, in large part thanks to this class (and the vbac link podcast, community etc). – Olga

The book was great, and videos helped to emphasize what was in the book and add some details. The book reflected a lot of the research and statistics I had read in my own research, and added additional information I didn’t know. I found the testamonials, statistics, and the birthing sections most helpful. I was also able to use the fear clearing exercises and their podcast/blog online, which I think were instrumental to getting my VBA2C! Mind-body connection is so important! – Brandi

This course was so helpful, especially with helping to educate my husband on the safety of VBACs, as he had previously been nervous about my choice. We watched all the videos already, but will also be reviewing the workbook again right before birth. Highly recommend! – Heather W.

I have barely scratched the surface in this course so far (I’m not even pregnant!!) and I’m loving what this program has to offer already. The videos, content, and workbook are the perfect combination for my learning style. I really can’t wait to dive in and learn so much more. – Katie W.

I’ve been a doula for 11 years, and have seen changes occur over time, but there is still a ways to go! This course was a FANTASTIC way to brush up on the latest statistics and to do some well needed continuing education on the current state of VBAC here in the US. Thank you! – Jenny

As someone who has had an unplanned Caesarean myself, AND as a doula, I really appreciated how balanced this course is. There’s no shaming, no bias, just facts. – Rosie D.

This course is as comprehensive and user-friendly as it gets. The workbook is so beautiful and the information is so easy to find. I used the data pages more than once when interviewing providers and discussing hospital policies in preparing for my VBA2C. I felt so empowered and confident in setting myself up for a positive birth experience with these tools in hand! – Paige

This course gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to move forward with my plan to have a HBAC. When you realize VBAC is just birth and hear the studies and insights that eliminate the myths that evoke a lot of fear in many C-Section mamas, you realize you’ve totally got this. I was empowered to find a provider that truly supported me and realized how much my gut was telling me my previous provider was not the way to go. I can’t wait to share my HBAC story when the time comes! Thanks so much for all you do! – Dani L.

I just started but have already learned so much! After 2 csections and one where my doctor made me think it was very risky I was terrified to try again. With this course not only have I learned the truth about VBAC but I also am excited to attempt mine in August! – Jennah L.

I took the ultimate prep course and found it very helpful. Short succinct informative videos on everything vbac related. I’m still referencing it and I printed out a bunch of stuff for my husband to read also. It’s very educational. Definitely recommend. – Chrissy K.
