About The VBAC Link

Welcome to our circle; We are so glad you are here! At The VBAC Link, we have a deep passion for empowering parents and birth workers. Our goal is to make YOUR birth after Cesarean better, no matter how that looks. We understand and respect that VBAC is not the right way to give birth for everyone but hope to educate and empower you to have an active role in your pregnancy and birth experience.

Meet The Team

Meagan Heaton owner

Meagan Heaton

Owner, Co-Founder, CD (DONA), AD (MCU), CVD (TVL)

Meagan co-founded the VBAC Link in 2018. Although she always felt called to the baby world, she really found her love for birth in 2014 after her second C-section. Through these two birth experiences, her love and passion grew around VBAC. She wanted to help people feel supported and loved. She had two C-sections and then went on to have a VBA2C, and has now supported over 300 families through their birthing journeys as a doula. Her drive is to help women like herself feel educated, supported, and empowered during their birthing time.

When she is not doing podcasts or doula work, Meagan loves attending her kids’ soccer games, gymnastics meets, and being involved in their school activities. She is our social butterfly and will always be down for a DIY project or a walk around the block at night with her husband.

Lily Wyn

Director of Social Media & Community Engagement, CVD (TVL), Kinesiologist

Lily is a VBAC mom whose own birth experience sparked her passion for supporting others on their journeys. She is a certified VBAC doula and combines personal experience with professional expertise to guide and encourage families in person in Northern Colorado and virtually all over the world. She absolutely LOVES being part of The VBAC Link community and connecting with women of strength everyday online.

With a background in kinesiology and community health research, Lily brings a unique perspective that blends movement science, evidence-based practice, and a heart for empowering families with knowledge. She believes every parent deserves compassionate, informed support as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

When she’s not working with families or diving into birth research, you can usually find Lily with her nose in a romantasy novel because even dragon riders need doulas. 😉

Paige Lloyd

Podcast Production Admin & Community Liaison, CD (CAPPA), CVD (TVL)

Paige has been part of The VBAC Link team since 2020, supporting both podcast and community operations in a variety of roles. She started as a podcast transcriber and now manages many of the behind-the-scenes aspects that keep the TVL community running smoothly.

A CBAC mama and doula, Paige’s love for birth work comes from her own experiences, which have taught her about compassion, strength, education, and advocacy. She is passionate about helping women have empowered birth experiences in every outcome.

A military spouse of 11 years, Paige lives in South Korea with her husband, four boys, and their Golden Retriever, Honey. She works with U.S. military and expat families from around the world, and in 2024, she advocated for the first Maternal Assisted Cesarean in South Korea. When she’s not doing birth work, you’ll find her driving her minivan, at the gym, traveling, performing in orchestras, or listening to birth stories!!

Ashley with The VBAC Link

Ashley Marg

Maternal Health & Communication Strategist, CD (BEST), MS (Community Health Education)

Ashley is our wonderful Community Associate. She’ll be the one chatting with you in our inbox and connecting you with all the valuable resources TVL has to offer.

A mom of two C-section babies and two VBAC babies, Ashley is also a birth and postpartum doula. She is passionate about supporting and loving others through the sweet season of pregnancy.

As a mom, blogger, and doula, Ashley hopes every mama knows that her birth experience truly matters.

Anders Albers

Podcast Editor, Audio Engineer, Videographer/Editor, Photographer

We like to call Anders our secret weapon.

He is our amazing podcast editor (and the voice you hear on the podcast) and has also recorded and edited our VBAC Link Course videos. He is talented in all areas of film, sound, and music, with over 25 years of experience in radio, both on mic and behind the scenes. When he’s not working, Anders enjoys skiing, biking, and sharing his musical talents.

Julie Francom

Co-Founder, Birth Photographer, CD (CBI)

Julie co-founded The VBAC Link with Meagan in 2018. Together they created the podcast, VBAC Doula  and Parent Courses, dozens of VBAC blogs, and a variety of other VBAC content. She officially parted with the organization in the summer of 2022 but still pops in here and there and remains in our VBAC Link Prep Course.

She is still connected in the birth world as a birth doula and photographer serving families in Utah. She has a huge heart and loves giving gifts on birthdays and special occasions. She also enjoys projects, organization, and home improvement.

Our Mission

Here at The VBAC Link, we believe in making birth after Cesarean better by providing education, support, and a community of like minded people.

Welcome to our circle, we are so glad you are here!

Our Logo

The inspiration behind the logo is that, at The VBAC Link, we are working to link, or connect, and educate birthing parents. We accomplish this with supportive providers and doulas to create the perfect birth experience and a supportive community.

We chose five people linking hands to represent the birthing parent, the birth partner, the child, the provider, and the doula.

Our Core Values

We operate The VBAC Link based on four core values: integrity, authenticity, credibility, and relationships. We believe in being honest, open, and transparent in everything we do and say.

You can be sure that whatever information we put out, in our courses, the blog, social media, or otherwise, is backed up by a credible study or organization.

We foster relationships with as many people as we can in order to build a safe and supportive community full of people who understand each other and help build each other up.

1. INTEGRITY

We operate with loyalty and honesty, always doing what we say we are going to do when we say we are going to do it. Being true to ourselves, our followers, and our passions are most valuable to us.

2. AUTHENTICITY

We are real and genuine. We have had similar experiences to those who turn to us for education and inspiration. One thing that draws people to us is that we have been through the things they are going through.

3. CREDIBILITY

The information we present is always factual and backed up by reliable and recognized sources in the childbirth industry. We reference studies and reports wherever possible, and ensure that we can validate and back up everything we say.

4. RELATIONSHIPS

We establish and foster positive relationships with everyone who reaches out to us. We respond to all emails and messages personally, creating a sense of community and support in those who contact us.
