2024 VBAC Holiday Gift Guide

2024 HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE

Published on: November 26, 2024

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! This time is all about family, traditions and holiday spirit. And in honor of the season of gift-giving, we lined up the top items our VBAC mama and doula communities are wishing for – at a discount!

Needed Prenatal Vitamin

This is #1 for me today and every day. Whether you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or already had your baby, it is important to be supplementing with the right multivitamin. I was sad to learn that most prenatals just don’t have the right combination of what we need, and many women, even the ones taking a multivitamin, are not getting the right vitamins and minerals.

I am a huge fan of the NEEDED prenatal complex and got our mamas a 20% off promotion. Click here and enter code VBAC20 at checkout for energy, nausea control, and baby’s development.

Use code YESICAN to get 30% off enrollment now through December 2.

A large cup for labor and postpartum

We love our Stanley Cups around here but another popular choice is the Hydrojug.

Needed’s Hydration Support

After all, she has to have something to put in that big cup! Needed’s Hydration Support is an electrolyte powder that is lightly sweetened with real fruit. It’s perfect for supporting hydration in pregnancy, during labor, and even during breastfeeding to support a healthy milk supply. Use code VBAC20 for 20% off your first order!

Books

It’s true – knowledge is power when it comes to preparing for birth (and parenthood). There are so many great books out there that can help you feel educated, empowered and encouraged as you plan your VBAC. Some of our favorites include Birth after Cesarean, Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth, How to Heal a Bad Birth and Baby Got VBAC. Check out some other great titles here.

Needed’s Pre/Probiotic

A strong and healthy gut is needed for a healthy pregnancy. Support your gut and vaginal health with our favorite Pre/Probiotic from Needed. And don’t forget to use code VBAC20 for 20% off!

Such an amazing tool for distraction and comfort in labor!

Needed’s Omega-3 Supplement

Tummy Butter

This cream is formulated with safe ingredients and works wonders to soothe itchy skin and diminish the redness that comes with stretch marks.

SHOP NOW>

Book a prental massage

A prenatal massage makes for great self care and helps to ease the discomforts of pregnancy. Be sure to look for a massage therapist who specializes in prenatal massage techniques to ensure safety.

Hatch Rest Sound Machine

This sound machine doubles as a night light and we definitely recommend one for every bedroom in the house, including the parents’ since white noise can benefit everyone’s sleep!  Pro tip: use red light at night when you’re up with the baby to disturb both of your sleep cycles a little less.

SHOP NOW>

Contribute towards a doula

Be Her Village is an incredible platform designed to help you create a registry for the things you truly need but could use help funding like doulas as well as childbirth education, pelvic floor health, lactation support and more. Another popular option is gofundme.

SHOP NOW>

Gift cards for speciality providers

Sometimes mamas could really benefit from extra support after baby arrives. Consider loading gift cards for specialty providers like pelvic floor physical therapists, lactation services, chiropractic care and more. Check with local providers for gift card options or think about something virtual like this.

SHOP NOW>

Gift cards for food

Is there truly a better thing to gift someone who is near the end of pregnancy or freshly postpartum than FOOD?! Consider things like Doordash or Grubhub gift cards to make ordering takeout simpler. If you want to go the extra mile, give the gift of food delivery like DailyHarvest HomeChef, HelloFresh or postpartum-specific meals from mama-meals, motherbees or Nourish Birth Postpartum. They might be a bit pricey, but this isn’t something mamas will typically buy for themselves (which makes it such a special gift).

SHOP NOW>

And don’t forget about meals for the kiddos! NurtureLife offers nutritious meals that can make cooking for a household so much easier! PS – another book that would make an amazing gift is this gorgeous cookbook called “The First Forty Days.”

Afterease Tincture

A postpartum favorite for helping to ease discomfort after delivery.

SHOP NOW>

Silver nipple covers

A total game changer for moms planning to breastfeed. They help to heal cracked and painful nipples.

SHOP NOW>

Other postpartum essentials

It’s becoming a bit more common now, but so many mamas are focused one what baby needs, they forget what they will need postpartum. Think about things like adult diapers, nipple relief, postpartum underwear and more. You can find all of our favorites in our 11 Postpartum Essentials Worth Every Penny.

SHOP NOW>

Body hair removal

Ok, but hear me out!! This is the best gift for mamas once they are done having kids. You could get her a gift card for somewhere local or LaserAway (who is offering some great Black Friday sales). *Laser hair removal is not recommended during pregnancy.

We hope these gift ideas help you spoil the VBAC mom in your life with some practical needs met, some self-care and radically better nutrition from our friends at Needed.

Happy Holidays, Women of Strength!
